SEMAINE DU GOLFE 2013 - Baptême de RUNA VI !!!

Ran II - 1910 -

Thorkil, Gerhard Rønne’s grandson obviously exists! My feeling has not been betrayed. I met him these days on the banks of the Mississipi River. After more than one year and half of research and tracking that would passionate Dr. Watson himself.
Runa IV - 1918 -

Things have finally come full circle. A few confirmations are needed and it will be possible to anchor more than three years investigations. This survey will be the subject of a book – The Runa Saga – that will be published next year, with the passionate support of Yves Carcelle: a story of men every one more amazing that the others, an illustrated chronicle with outstanding photos of the time, enhanced with documents never published and completed with all the plans (lines and sails) of the Runa redrawn by my good friend François Chevalier!
Runa VI - 1927 -

As a preview, here are the wonderful profiles of four Gerhard Rønne’s yachts. They are still sailing under Yves Carcelle’s banner – Runa IV and Runa VI – and of his friend Gregory Ryan, Ran II and Runa VII!
Runa VII - 1946 -
